Explore the value of Achievement
Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.
Franklin D. Roosevelt
To be rich in admiration and free from envy, to rejoice greatly in the good of others, to love with such generosity of heart that your love is still a dear possession in absence or unkindness - these are the gifts which money cannot buy.
Robert Louis Stevenson
True achievement in any sphere of action depends upon real ability, and a strong, deep, whole-souled love.
Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.
Robert F. Kennedy
Myra Conn Livingston
To see ourselves as others see us can be eye-opening. To see others as sharing a nature with ourselves is the merest decency. But it is from the far more difficult achievement of seeing ourselves amongst others…that the largeness of mind, without which objectivity is self-congratulation and tolerance a sham, comes.

Personal Stories About ‘Achievement’
Life Lesson From Death Of A SalesmanSubmitted by Bluecrayola13
One of the lessons I learned from the movie Death of a Salesman is to follow your dreams. It’s important to follow your dreams because if you don’t then you might end up on the wrong path. If you don’t follow your dreams you won’t be happy and you will be stuck and might end up going insane like Willy. In my...

Charles was born in a third-world country, and moved to the U.S at the age of one. He had many tribulations throughout his life just as any kid would, but thankfully he achieved a lot of things. He started from the bottom, to end up at the university of CT (UConn) with a brand new car, and not to mention he...

John WSubmitted by Pete R
John Wooden was a giving person in teaching values that were created for sports, but could also be used in life. Although I'm a sports fan, he meant more to me than sports. He was a man that had no vices, but to dedicate his life to the success of young people. He was a good man that created the pyramid of...

I love the game of football. Next year i will have the unique opportunity to play college football and make new friends. FREEDOM FROM SELF TOARMENT IS FREEDOM WHAT WAS TRUELY HOW ONE'SSELF IS MENT TO BE~
STUART D MAYES, LOUISVILLE KY
In 1955, Mr. Jim Huxel, the Principal of my school, pulled me out of the classroom and into his office wherein he gave me swats with a wood panel. I asked him Why me. There were other kids goofing around. Why did you pull only me out of the class. He said, "Because you are smart, you have talent, you can make it - I care about you. Stop goofing around and apply yourself and you will be successful.
I walked out of his office with a very sore butt however, I felt fantastic. Someone cares about me, someone thinks I have talent. Ï can do it - Mr. Huxel said so --- and he was right.

Nice site! Need more of it.
I don't see that achievement is the word success. sometimes things are no longer achievable. Achievement is a hope for me. To continue doing things even though it looks not achievable in time but still there's hope, its still success and achievement. It transcends the mere evidences in life.

Think positive to achieve everything! Always start the day with a smile and do what are the things that will make you happy! Achievements are best cherished if you don't hit anything, just be humble and achieve what you want...

I try to do my best to steer young people in the right direction. Some of them don't want to even hear what I am trying to tell them so I go to others and am happy if one of them listens. I would be a happy camper if I could reach more young people.

I am planning for the senior year of my middle child Jordyn. Jordy is a 3.985 gpa twenty first century scholar student and a 4 year track athlete as well. She will graduate this May with high academic honors diploma from sullivan high school and go to Franklin or Grace college in the fall. What an achievement Thank you Lord for mercy and grace everyday for her and my other two teenage children.

In Maaori, the native tongue of New Zealand, the word for values is 'pumanawa'. Pu = centre, core, cause, stump, heart, foundation. Manawa = heart. As you know, we all live out of our values, whether good or bad. Those that are contrary to being 'tika' or 'true', manifest through emotional pain and destructive behaviours. These values are sown into us at an early age and eventually bear fruit. The fruit tree is an excellent picture of this. As David Riddell (top counsellor and creator of the 'School of Living Wisdom') says, if we don't check the foundations, we cannot affect the repairs. Noho ora mai
