When Kermit the Frog sprang from the imagination of creator Jim Henson over 50 years ago the world was given a new friend whose endearing qualities continue to charm each succeeding generation. Remarkably, most never really outgrow the connection with Kermit. His personality transcends mere toys and action figures because Kermit is someone we know. We’ve lived along with him through good days and bad and observed how he keeps a perspective on whatever comes his way. Green and fuzzy, this delightful character has become part of our lives. Jim Henson gives an insight into the comfortable world Kermit draws us into, “There is a sense of our characters caring for each other. A positive feeling, a positive view of life. That’s the key to everything we do.”
Kermit is also a dreamer and an inspiration for our own goals and aspirations. After all, if a Frog can accomplish so much, we can do something too!
We came to know Kermit the Frog when Sesame Street introduced him and many other enduring characters in 1969. Yet, the beginnings trace back to Jim Henson’s childhood where his family was very supportive of his creativity. In particular, his maternal grandmother who was an avid painter, quilter and needle worker encouraged young Jim to use his imagination and to take delight in the world around him.
Since then, the TV shows, movies and personal appearances around the world have made Kermit worthy of star status. Yet, he remains as loveable as the first time we encountered him. Perhaps a clue to Kermit’s humility comes from a line in his well known song, ‘It ain’t easy being green.” As we grow and change it’s nice to have a hero that stays the same—one that serves as a real inspiration to “Live Your Dreams.”

This frog has taught us many values from a young age without realizing it, we owe much, because through it we learned to coexist with the rights of others.

Being green might not be easy with the society but that didn't get Kermit down. One of our teachers was so moved by the billboards that he started printing mini ones and putting them around our school. I think some people anxiously getting the point. Thanks so much. This is awesome.

Kermit's influence on my life as a teenager was wonderful. Middle school and high school are the hardest time in anyone’s life and that is when he appeared to me. He teaches so much more than what most young children can understand and he transcends the boundaries of all ages. Jim Henson gave all of us the greatest gift in Kermit.

Saw this billboard two years ago in Time Square. In a city as massive and anonymous as New York can sometimes be, I felt instantly comforted and uplifted seeing this message and Kermit's smiling face. Thank you.

My 5 yr old son loves you're posters, especially the Kermit the Frog and the Superman one. Every time we see one he always asks me what it says and of course it’s nothing but positive messages. Keep up the good work, teaching kids to LIVE A BETTER LIFE.

First of all, Kermit the frog is my hero, and for anyone else who loves him he wrote a book called "Before You Leap." I was on my way home from Kentucky when I saw this poster and when I saw another in a Florida airport I just had to check out the website. I love your posters.
