This is a photo of my little girl, Ella as she goes through the motions of learning how to ride a bike . Faced with her fears, she rests in the thought that Dad is there to help her. And with that thought she gets her strength and her confidence. Here's to her dad and all the dads who take the time to be one!

My brother is taking a trip around the world. He will be gone for nine months, and he will be alone. This picture was taken April 8, 2010 at the airport. You can follow him on Facebook - Around the World in GR80 Days. It takes a lot of courage and confidence in oneself to do what he's doing.

In my life I am searching for so much right now. Confidence and understanding what I am here to do with my life is a big ? mark right now. For me, I am trying to understand the purpose...right now it is my kids, professionally I am lost, I am even more lost in my convictions. I need a bolt of lighting to hit me in rain storm, get that ah ha moment and transform my life. Tonight, my year and a half year old son got second degree burns on both hands and I am beating myself up over it. My wife is at the ER while I am asking question after question. There is no greater importance than the kids you are responsible for bringing into this world. In closing, eventually peace will come, but not right now when you can't sleep.
