I am touched by your comments as they reflect some of my own experiences. I don't think I have succeeded much in this area of friendship and I too am 60 years old this year. I think my deficit in making friends may have developed from a lack of trust in others and a feeling of not being worthy of their love. I have been limited by these internal pieces of my mind and heart all my life. I would like to develop close friends and have had opportunities but I have been unable to let my guard down and share myself with others. I am wondering if you have any thoughts on this matter? Or give any advice.
