The pianist was playing one of Mozart's variations on "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." I think Mozart wrote six.

I've been that kid daring to explore the fascinating world, but never got the encouragement you show so lovingly in this spot. I cannot see it without crying, thinking of all the tiny adventurers today who need that emotional support right now, and the one still inside me who also needs it from myself.

This "encouragement" commercial should win an award. Very simple and very well done.

This story originated with just a mother and a child playing Chopsticks which quite frankly is much more "annoying" than Twinkle, Twinkle. The great pianist Pader Is reminds us of - well, everything that has been said here. Many different things, but the end result is good from seemingly a less than desirable situation.
14

I thank God for things like this, the ads I have seen on TV have been such an inspiration to me. Today I found your web site, oh what a find! Now I can pass this along to the people in my life that I love and care about and everyone else that I haven't had that pleasure with yet. Our spirit is a wondrous force that when expressed gives hope to others and ourselves. Thank you for your actions that made this a reality. I will surely pass it on, bless us one and all. Doug

I am a pretty sarcastic person and I generally find these kinds of commercials to be hokey and dull, but... This commercial is amazing. Every time I see it I stop what I'm doing and watch it. I was in a similar situation when I was young (although not nearly on such a large scale) and it brings back good memories. Thank you. This commercial is simply amazing.

I tear up the second this ad begins. Wasn't there an earlier part where the mother or father tries to teach Tommy to throw a baseball, kick a soccer ball, jump, and other physical skills he's not good at? Then comes the part on stage -- when you know Tommy has found his true passion...
27

My experience with a famous musician is awesome. I became a fan of a band, found two members online and befriended the guitarist. He is amazing, no "im better than you" ego, he's funny, and makes great sounds on guitar. Met him at a gig. He's even gone far enough as to call me a couple times recently. Where is he? Finland. I rarely get to see him, but he gives me the best gift of all, friendship with some encouragement in my own guitar learning.

Glenn S 12 months ago from Montgomery, AL
As a pianist myself, his reminds me so much of the magnificent pianist who was my childhood inspiration. It also reminds me of attending a Kenny G concert with my then 8-year old son. We had stepped out to buy him a Kenny G t-shirt, which he put on right then. When we came back into the concert hall, it was totally dark. Kenny G emerged from the darkness standing right in front of my son, face-to-face, playing his saxophone. My son was mesmerized. Kenny G took notice of that and continued to play for 2 or 3 minutes. My son took up sax lessons, first using my father's tenor sax that he played in the Navy band in WWII, then learned to play the soprano sax Kenny G most frequently plays. It was a life-changing experience for him - one he will never forget! Bravo for encouragement and inspiration! Keep up the great work!

A very heart warming video, I believe we should all encourage our children to be their best and to share that when ever and where ever possible. Perhaps one day a child like this wonderful lad will lead us, one can only hope...

Patrick J. McK. 12 months ago from Formerly Lake View, NY
My experience with a celebrity was less heart-warming. For my 16th birthday, my twin brother, our older sister and her then-boyfriend were given front row seats at a Neal Diamond concert. Billed with Neal Diamond was Sandy Baron, a stand-up comedian. While were were trying to get the seating arrangement straightened out, Sandy Baron deviated from his routine and tried to get all of us on stage. When we found our seats, I was the last one standing. Against my better judgment, I was talked into climbing on the stage where I discovered that Mr.Baron recruited stooges from the audience. It was a truly humiliating experience. Fortunately, I didn't suffer permanent emotional trauma! I eventually became a semi-professional musician... and left any prospects of stand-up comedy behind me.

This hit close to home, considering my parents put me in piano lessons at the age of 5, after I sat down at my grandmother's piano and played Twinkle Twinkle by ear. :) I started writing music by age 10 and it's a passion I'm so glad they initially guided me towards. :)

The fact that I can see myself in that concert hall makes it more meaningful.
