<notes>My daughter, Somah and I were on our way to the beach on Labor Day when we decided to check out a circus tent at the Castroville exit off highway 1 near Moss Landing. Somah took some photos there and as we began to turn the corner to get back on the highway, I looked to my right, and there Jim Thorpe was. I was thrilled. We changed direction and took this photo. We stood in front of the billboard and had a conversation about Jim Thorpe and how, even though he is Native American, he is a role model for all people. We are from Laguna Pueblo in NM, and seeing Thorpe's photograph made us happy and proud. Thank you for this inspiration.</notes>
