Who Is Your Hero?

Do you have a personal hero? Tell us about them. It doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference in someone else’s life.

Your Everyday Hero: Dean L.

My hero is Deputy L. with the Utah County Sheriff's Office. He is a hero in my eyes because every day he is out there risking his life to make our community a safer place to live. No matter what the time or conditions, such as Christmas Day, middle of the night, rain, snow and so forth he is out there helping people and making a difference without complaint. Deputy L. also is responsible for helping others due to the fact that he teaches a self-defense class to teens for free. He is my idol and I wish to be just like him one day. This is my way of saying a well-deserved thank you.
