Share A Hero Story NowDaryl is involved with almost every aspect of the church, area youth & local charity programs. He started a 2-on-2 basketball league for area youths to provide wholesome recreation. This past summer he brought a number of teens to Mexico to participate in "Habitat for Humanity". Once a month, he helps make 400-600 sandwiches for the homeless. Daryl can also be found at chili cook-offs, bake sales, car washes, prayer vigils, working at the city food bank, and Vacation Bible School as a counselor. He counsels students needing help with free tutoring. He has helped me grow spiritually, emotionally free. He is retiring in a few years; both he and his wife plan to enter missionary service. He has a cheerful personality, big smile, and soft words of wisdom. He is admired by all. I have known Daryl for about a year. I had been in a terrible auto accident and not able to do much; the comfort Daryl brings me by driving 17 miles every Thursday to visit has played a great part in my physical, spiritual and mental healing.
