Your Everyday Hero: Jennifer S.

Jennifer is a Staff Sergeant in the Army, and is currently stationed in Iraq. She has given up college twice because of the Army, but never loses her direction. She wants to be an early childhood teacher, but more than that, she wants to help the under-privileged kids. During her time in Iraq, hurricane Katrina happened. Even being there, she thought of the children and challenged our town, and her family to raise money for the kids. Her donation was over $500 for art supplies and simple things to keep their minds off the tragedy. She also gave us the names of soldiers who needed to know they were remembered. She is always thinking of others first. She is a leader, she is what family is about, she is the most positive person I know, and she spreads that where ever she goes.
