Your Everyday Hero: Andrea R.

My mother, Andrea, is a wonderful woman who has given so much to this world. She's spent the last 15+ years of her life helping her son who has a learning and mental disability; not to mention giving her outstanding support to her daughter who has gone through life's ups and downs. My mother has offered strength and support, love and fairness, and she has not only been a wonderful mother, but a great friend. I know that she thinks her life isn't that great, but au contraire - she has made her family's life better. I know that when she leaves this world, she will have to know that she takes with her something more powerful than any desk job or celebratory career. She has been a mother and a caregiver, a friend, a teacher, a psychiatrist, a chauffeur, a doctor, a counselor, and most of all...an exceptional human being. She's my hero. I love my mother with all my heart and I want her to know that she is truly the wind beneath my wings!
