Who Is Your Hero?

Your Everyday Hero: Brandon C.

My friend Brandon is the most amazing person that I have ever met. We've been friends for over 11 years and he's never let me down. Just a few years ago, he was in a terrible motorcycle accident. He broke his back and his neck; there were a few days that they thought he wouldn't make it. It was even thought that he wouldn't walk again. He is walking now and doing fairly well. The only way you can tell that something happened to him is the fact that he's paralyzed in his left arm. Still, as bad as he feels, he's always smiling and laughing. Always giving me the will to go on. He's such a terrific person! He teaches school and loves being involved with children. I learn from him every day what a real hero is. It's someone that finds the will to carry on when life truly gives them a reason to give up.
