Your Everyday Hero: Rebecca P.

Sacrifice: Rebecca, a woman endured an awesome sacrifice to make other women feel special. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, she contacted a church in Louisiana that was sheltering hurricane victims. She called and spoke with several women, determined to do something special for each. She got sizes and favorite colors and promised each a package. What came next was amazing. Not only did she go out and purchase brand new undergarments for each woman, she sent each a little something special just for fun. To make it really special, she went through her closet and picked out all of her very favorite outfits and sent those to these ladies as well. You see, she got to thinking about how these women had lost absolutely everything in their life and how insulting and painful it would be to have to accept everyone else's throw-aways. So she got out her favorite outfits, and as difficult as it was. And it was very hard to part with them. She sent these ladies her very best. What a great lesson to all of us.
