Your Everyday Hero: Donna H.

When the transitional shelter for children opened around the block from my house, my mom wanted to help the children who were placed there. So she started a program to teach kids quilting. Not only are they able to express themselves creatively, but they are able to create something they can keep. Many of these kids have no possessions of their own, so to have something that they created is truly life-changing.
