Your Everyday Hero: Elaine N.

Elaine is a 34-year-old single mother to over 50 children. She has one biological child, four adopted children, 3 of which have disabilities, and she has been a foster mother to over 50 kids including me. At the age of 24, she became a foster parent and began taking in teenagers nobody wanted. One of those teenagers abandoned her two children at Elaine's door and she adopted them. She recently adopted two older children, ages 7 and 8, and is still looking to adopt more. She has formed a non-profit organization which helps youth in the foster care system who are aging out continue to have a family. Elaine has given her life to the dedication of helping others never asking anything in return. Many times she has even bought books for youth in college. She was recently recognized by a magazine in which she was chosen as one of the most remarkable women in the world. If you asked her for a wish, it would be something to do with helping children. When her car broke down, instead of getting it fixed she helped another youth get a car.
