This is wonderful. I used to know someone like Miss Minnie in my own neighborhood when I was little, and she always brightened my day. I hope I can be as energized and loving when I am her age.

Your Everyday Hero: Minnie Mae B.

My hero is 92 years young. She has the vigor and wit of a person in their seventies. Her charm and personality have won the hearts of family and friends for many years. Today she is the neighborhood queen for four young boys between the ages of four and ten years of age. She bakes cookies and gives them candy in return for them raking the leaves in the carport, taking the garbage can to the street and bringing it back and other numerous small chores that they are capable of doing. When she returns home from church, a visit with family or just walks to the front door for a little sunshine, you can see the applause and hear the screams of the little mouths as they exclaim with the most innocent excitement "Miss Minnie' over and over again. It is such an awesome testimony of her love for children and their love and respect for someone her age.

Miss Minnie is actively involved in all church activities. She loves to travel and eat out and has the most beautiful flowers of anyone in her quiet neighborhood.

Miss Minnie credits her good health and her longevity to living a good clean life, working two and sometimes three jobs and her love for Jesus.
