Your Everyday Hero: Thomas M.

My uncle is an inspiration to me and the world. While I was growing up, I watched in horror as my aunt and uncle lost their two sons in separate auto accidents within a short period of time. My cousins were like brothers to me and despite the paralyzed feeling I had, it couldn't come close to my imagination of what they endured. Shortly following this my uncle lost his wife (my aunt) to Lupus related complications. One would think this would cripple a human, even of the greatest strengths. But not my uncle.

He went on to help pass organ transplanting laws and donor awareness, sat on national organ donation boards, stood in front of our government to change minds, he also went on to pursue scientific endeavors and studies into bettering the lives of mankind in a way none could ever imagine that will change everything for us in the future. There is no paragraph that could fully explain what a hero he is to me, or to the world. This short message can only scratch the surface of what one can do when the worst odds on earth may be stacked against you. God bless all.
