Your Everyday Hero: Ajarn Donald P.

Our hero is Ajarn Donald (Ajarn is teacher in Thai and full name is Mr. Donald Patnaude). I said "our" hero because I am speaking on behalf of the more than 5,000 students aged 3-60 years old whom he has taught English to as an ESL (English as a second Language). He has taught English to more than 5,000 students in 3 Thai government schools, 4 private language centers and now he teaches English from his own home which he has opened as an English language center. He always gives special discounts to people who do not make a lot of money. He also volunteers a lot and always finds the time to help people. He has made a difference in our lives since January 12, 2001 when he started teaching English in the first of 4 private English centers. He currently teaches about 60 hours a week 7 days a week.
