Your Everyday Hero: Maria R.

My hero is my Gran, and my best friend. She gave me my Italian blood, for which I am very grateful.

My Gran is like a friend as well as a grandmother, and I know she will accept me whatever my condition.

We laugh loads despite the challenges we face at any moment.

She is my inspiration for all I do as I strive to impress; though I know if I did nothing at all I would still be perfect in her eyes.

I hope to spend many more years with my Gran. She is my ultimate hero.
