Who Is Your Hero?

Your Everyday Hero: Barbara P.

Barbara was so young when she fell in love. She was 14 to be exact. Yes, so deep in love she fell with a man, whom she would stay with for the rest of her life. So she thought. After the death of both of her parents, Barbara had 3 children with the love of her life. Her eldest child Crystal, and youngest child, Joshua, both had severe medical problems for both of their childhoods. At the age 35, Barbara became a grandmother by her eldest child and only daughter Crystal, who despite her severe illnesses, was able to bare a child. A few short years after struggling with college, 3 teenagers, and an infant granddaughter, Barbara lost the love of her life David, from a heart attack. She was strong and carried on, for the sake of her children and grandchild whom she loved so dearly. She stayed strong through all the times that she almost lost her sick daughter and son, and the harsh times of poverty, and the loss of someone she loved with all of her heart. She is the strongest woman I've ever had the pleasure to meet and I am so proud to be able to call her, Grandma.
