Who Is Your Hero?

Your Everyday Hero: Harold L.

He was the youngest in the United States to be diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was 23 years old. He is still going strong today, 28 years with a no cure disease. He was given only 3 to 5 years to live when diagnosed in 1983. He is my hero, my brother Harold. He continues to tell others about taking life one day at a time and living life to the extreme. He faces life everyday in a wheelchair and not able to do anything for himself. But he continues to strive each day with a smile on his face and the courage to go the extra mile for someone else. We continue everyday to tell his story, so that someone else may find strength from his words to live life.
