Gary B

My hero is my dad, Gary. He is my hero for many reasons. My dad was brought up in a very poor family. He had to walk to school everyday, even though he lived miles out of town. He also shared a room with his two brothers. My dad and his two brothers had a triple bunk, in a room the size of a closet. I know my dad always tried his best and always tried to succeed. He was not like the rest of his family. My dad was a theatrical teenager and loved to sing. He was the only student from Staples, Mn, to make All State Choir. My dad showed me not to take anything for granted. He makes me work for what I get and showed me that I am very blessed. My dad has made it far for being in his family. His brothers and parents did not ever attend college, but my dad went to college and got his degree in Special Education. After that he has taught me not to judge anyone by the way the look or act. My Dad has shown me that we are all the same, and we all love having friends. My dad is the most friendly man I know, and he can always show compassion in the hardest times. He is the most open minded person I know, and that’s another reason he is my hero. My dad has shown me with motivation anything is possible. He has also shown me the right ways to act and how to be a good person. He is the best man I know. He has given me the life that he couldn’t have and he does so much for other people. My dad thinks of others, not just himself. I am blessed to have a dad like him and I am blessed to call him my hero.
