Your Everyday Hero: Calvin S.

My husband had a dream and founded StoryTellers of The American Frontier (SAF). A non-profit organization with a Western Frontier premise that would help him reach young people, especially troubled teenage boys, just as the TV western heroes of the past had inspired him. They literally saved his life. His mission was to take the best of the TV Western heroes' character, integrity and work ethic to inspire children to dare to be the best person and reach their highest dream. He would do this through the medium of story telling.

Our small non-profit organization has literally reached thousands of children and adults. My husband has been committed for the last eight years to traveling around the country telling his true stories of little known western heroes who through their commitment, character, passion and work ethic helped to form this great nation we call America. We receive countless letters from various school administrators, organizations, churches, parents and, most importantly, the children that recount the valuable character lessons my husband's stories bring to life. My husband is rewarded every time a child says, and that is often, thank you Mr. S. for sharing your stories, for caring and more importantly for listening.
