Your Everyday Hero: Leina R.

My mom is amazing to me. She taught me about strength, hard work, and discipline. She became a single parent when I was about 11. I'm the oldest of four children. She worked very hard to provide the best for all of us. She cleaned the Catholic school we went to, so that we could go to school there. She never complained about anything, she just did it. She taught us about sticking together and sticking up for each other. She has survived cancer, death of parents, two sons going to war, coming from war with strength, faith, and believing. She is my hero, because of her sense of being a strong woman even when the odds are against you. I'm so blessed to have her as my mom.
