Your Everyday Hero: Rachel L.

Rachel is the founder of GEMS (Girls Educational & Mentoring Service), an organization which helps girls who have been commercially exploited.
The girls she fights for often come from foster homes, single family homes - those the rest of us have written off and the legal system does not adequately protect. Rachel works to get them out of the life, to believe in themselves, to finish school - to reclaim their lives.
