Your Everyday Hero: Chris F.

Chris became quadriplegic (from shoulders down) in a boating accident about 10 years ago. He has recovered as fully as physically possible. During that time obtained a graduate level certificate in Assistive Technology at San Diego State University, returned to full-time work as an engineer, and married his wife, Jean.Chris and Jean are now starting the process of having their home enlarged, and hopefully starting a family together. I am totally blind, blinded in an accident 17 years ago, and Chris has, as my friend and neighbor a few doors away, made an indescribable difference in my life giving me constant support and encouragement and being a role model of a person with a disability that wakes up daily ready to face the day, and lead a successful, life of integrity.
