Do you have a personal hero? Tell us about them. It doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Share A Hero Story NowGlenn and Kevin are my little cousins and also two of my heroes. They stick by me and say what's on their minds. They do small things and I know they care. And I care about them.
Everyone else thinks they are just two kids that I'll get bored of hanging around with. But I don't. They are kids, and I want them to enjoy that, yet they are so much more than that. They are two boys who have got everything ahead of them.
When I need motivation, I think of how Glenn's getting better and better at his electronics and Kev's well, just being himself in everything he does—no hindrances. They are living every day lives just like everyone else, but (and maybe only I see it this way) they shine while they do it. Those two are like the one sunflower that stands out in a dry field of tall grass, you know?
So, to everyone else, every day, they do what little homework they have and mess around until they have to fake sleep and actually fall asleep. To me though, every day, they are living how they want to and they have fun all the while. They are small, in the things they do and in size.
They're my little heroes...
