Who Is Your Hero?

Do you have a personal hero? Tell us about them. It doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference in someone else’s life.

Your Everyday Hero: Jeresia S.

Jeresia is a hero. She is a woman in her mid 20's with three children. She works full-time and goes to school full-time to enhance her knowledge and career. Her husband is in the National Guard and will soon be placed on active duty. In addition to all the demands of her everyday life, she was asked if she could become the guardian of a fourth child. This child is her cousin and he was living in not so good situations. Without hesitation, she and her husband took in this child as their own. Looking past all the money it would require and with no concern for herself, she just made him one of her own. This is why I believe Jeresia is a hero.
