Your Everyday Hero: Julie O.

My Aunt Julie has been my hero for as long as I can remember. She has raised me up to respect others and myself and take on full responsibility for my own life. Not only did she raise me, but she has also raised my father and three other children. Although we were not her own, she gave up her leisurely time, to watch over and protect. My Aunt never had children of her own, but this meant she only loved us even more.

My Aunt Julie was always willing to serve others. Though she is getting older, her 88 years still cannot keep her down. She has inspired me to always try to look for opportunities to do good for people. I just hope that one day I will be able to help others as she has helped me.

When she passes away, she will be dearly missed. She has left pretty big foot prints on my heart—pretty big footprints to fill. I will love you always Aunt Julie.
