Lung Transplant

A time in my life when I had to be patient was when my Mom went under surgery for a double lung transplant. When she was in the hospital under surgery, I was very scared and didn’t know what to think or do. Instead of going crazy and thinking negative thoughts, I sat back and was patient. I prayed about things and I thought in my head that everything was going to be ok. In the end, the surgery went well and I feel that the patience I had with that situation truly helped me while waiting in the hospital. Thinking positively in stressful situation requires much patience. Though it was a little challenging to keep calm and maintain patience, I’m glad I did and it really benefitted me.
