Two Caring Boys

I have two sons, ages 14 and 11. About four years ago we had a discussion about how lucky we were to be healthy and that there are many children who are sick. I told them about the Make a Wish Foundation and they wanted to do something to contribute to that great organization. They bought a bubble gum machine, called all around town and finally (after a lot of rejection) got permission to put it at our local indoor pool. They donated their proceeds to Make a Wish Foundation. In addition, each year for their birthday they request their friends make a donation to the Make a Wish Foundation in lieu of gifts. The exciting thing is that a few of their friends have followed their example and are now asking for donations to their favority cause in lieu of birthday gifts. They are discovering that life is more rewarding when you do things for others.
