Passing on the Spirit of Giving A few Christmas's ago My daughter and I were shopping at a thrift store, A couple came up to us and said we are on a journey to spread the spirit of Chritmas, they then handed me a 100 dollar bill and wished us a Merry Christmas, I said Thank you, but was in Disbelief, when my Daughter and I got in the Car, my Daughter asked what I was going to do with the money, and before I could think much about my self, I Remembered a Lady at my school was asking for Help of a needy Family, I immediately became excited thinking here is my chance to pass this on to a family who needed it more than we did.what a wonderful feeling to pass on good cheer and the spirit of giving. I hope my daughter will always remember this experience and will become an example to her in her life.

Christmas Spirit

Several years ago while living in upstate NY I was checking out at the grocery store. While waiting in line I noticed a $50 bill on the floor. After picking it up I asked the lady in front of me if it belonged to her. She said "No". When I got to the register I gave the $50 to the girl checking out and said that I had found it on the floor and was sure that someone would come back to claim it. She said that the store would hold it for a week and then if no one claimed it I could have it. I put my name on an envelope and she sealed the money inside it. After a week I happened to see the same girl at the checkout and asked if anyone had claimed the money. She said "No" and I could pick it up at the courtesy counter. (Which I did) Upon exiting the store I walked by a Salvation Army volunteer ringing her bell by the collection kettle. I looked at the kettle, then at the $50 bill and decided to put it into the kettle. (Much to the amazement of the volunteer) She even had a hard time saying "Thank you" I said that I am sure someone else could make better use of the money than I.
