Do you have a good values-based story to tell? It doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Share A Story NowMy father shot himself in the head when I was 28. Although I was an adult and out of the house, the effect was devastating. Many wonderful people in my life gave me tidbits, little puzzle pieces, that together made it possible to carry on. One of the most important things anyone said to me was to have patience with myself. Nothing is going to be clear today, tomorrow, or even a year from now. You must have patience to allow yourself to heal and to become who you are becoming. Rushing it only leads to more pain, and at at time like this, who needs more pain? Get though the next ten minutes. Then get through the ten minutes after that, and the hour after that. Take things however you can, and it will get better. I promise.
