Do you have a good values-based story to tell? It doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Share A Story NowI am an author of several Poetry Books titled "Poetic Journey", "Journey of Thoughts," and "Journey Within".
Our poetry is written for all ages, especially our youth. Our poems encourage constructive thinking, teach values and lessons, and demonstrate positive reactions to different emotions all in a rhyming fashion. I would like to share the following poem.
Forgiveness
Ever wonder just what
Makes life seem worth living
It’s knowing that the mistakes we make
Can often times be forgiven
Being willing to forgive
Doesn’t always come easily
But you have to let it go
In order to stay healthy mentally
Start by forgiving yourself
For things you’re not proud of
And work on becoming a better person
For your family, yourself, or just because
And you can’t just say I forgive you
It has to come from the heart
You must be able to forgive others
Wrong doings also
Or it will tear you apart
Which is harder to do
To forgive or to ask for forgiveness
Is there any comparison
Both are amazing tasks
Though to forgive someone
No one really has to ask
And just because you forgive
Does not mean that you forget
And just because you ask for forgiveness
Does not mean you’ll get it yet
You can improve the way
In which you live
By turning the other cheek
And learning how to forgive
And just a little secret
If you haven’t discovered it yet
It’s easier to forgive
Than it is to forget
