Do you have a good values-based story to tell? It doesn’t have to be perfect to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Share A Story NowMy story is a very simple one, because of a simple action. While standing in line at the local department store, I was asked by the customer in front of me if that particular store offered postage stamps. I stated that they did offer books of stamps, but the gentleman needed only one stamp, not an entire book of them. I began to look in my wallet and gave him one of my postage stamps, so he could take care of his letter.
I felt good inside, refused money for the stamp, and just told him to “pay it forward.” The feelings I had in giving this simple item are much greater than any materialistic item I could have attained as a reward.

That happened to me as well but I was the recipient, not the giver. I was in the post office waiting to mail a payment and asked somebody if I could buy just one stamp in the machine since the line was so long but the person I asked didn't know. All of a sudden, a person just came and gave me a stamp to use and wouldn’t let me pay her back.

I know the writer of this story. This does not surprise me, she is an amazing woman. All of us should be as kind as her.

Simple story, but a great one! The feeling of greatness lies not by giving a small or a big thing, but it lies in giving whole heartedly.
