Ohio to San Fran my son met an Angel

My son was traveling to San Franciso, CA. He missed his connecting flight in Ohio which was the last flight out. My son called me frustrated, confused and panicked in North Carolina. I asked him what happened and he told me the gate had changed and he ran to the new one. As he got there, he saw the plane taking off. He asked the attendant was that the plane for San Francisco. The attendant stated "Yes it was. You just missed it." I immediately started to contact the airline on my cell as my son was on the other line.

Suddenly, the attendant came back to the phone and told me he was taking him to the Sheraton and he would call me back. He gave the phone back to my son. I asked my son if there were any other children and if he was ok. He said 'Yes, I'm ok.' The flight attendant took my son via shuttle to the hotel. The attendant called me when he got to the hotel and stated they were checked in and told me he was staying in the room beside my son and had instructed him not to leave the room. He supplied my son with a voucher for dinner and breakfast then gave me his personal cell phone number, room number to call if I had any questions.

The next morning at 5:30am I called to make sure my son was up and ready to go to the airport. The attendant shuttled him back to the airport and took him to the Youth Travelers Club to stay until it was time for his flight, where he enjoyed another breakfast and a movie while reclining. The attendant got him on a direct flight to San Fran. My son is 16 years old and was in Ohio all alone without a cell phone. I will always remember the attendant. He was my son's guardian angel.
