Yes We Can

I am Amadu Lamrana Bah, from Sierra Leone, and am 20 years old. I suffered a lot during the civil war in my country Sierra Leone. My father was killed and my elder sister was abducted and later died in the hands of the rebels. I was left with my mother and my younger brother who is not attending school because my mother cannot afford to pay for both of us.

Fortunately for me I've completed through my senior secondary school exams and am awaiting my results. I was able to accomplish all these things despite the hardship in my family because I believe I can, and because of the help of good people. There are other children in my country with stories either similar or worse than mine. I was fortunate to get the address of The Foundation for a Better Life while watching CNN and I do believe you are helping the children in my country.
