if we all could learn to love ourselves and others as much as ourselves, the world will be a better place for us...

Just as we breath air....a hug is to your soul. It can humble the strong & the weak alike. A hug has no ulterior motive than to bring a sense of calm & peace.

Every day we're faced with situations and problems which transcend the boundaries that we thought define who we are. It is not until we face these circumstances head on, and act for the greater good, that we realise those boundaries we thought to be embedded in our lives, are easily erasable. It is not until this, that we live. Our capacity thereafter is limitless.

There is nothing more beautiful in this world than to watch humanity at its best! How much a greater, more beautiful world it would be if all humans could relearn that it's "okay" to hug a stranger even for no reason...just because!

Being There

New York City- One hot summer day I was rushing late to my workplace on the Upper West Side. As I cut through a small park I heard a woman sobbing. Rather wailing I should say, as if she were bursting with the pain of all life. The sound was so striking that I stopped immediately in my tracks to find out where it was coming from. I then noticed a homeless woman probably in her 50's. Next to her was a young businessman sitting on a bench. The homeless woman reached out and hugged the man. At first the man looked scared. But then his face softened and tenatively reached his arms around her to hug her back. I knew I was witnessing absolute beauty. This is what life is about.
