Your Everyday Hero: Micah S.

Chorus has just ended and I am so excited about going to woodshop that I don't see these chairs in my way. Then suddenly, I trip over them and go flying and land on the ground unconscious. My breath is knocked out of me. It aches and hurts just to move, walk or get up. Micah says, 'Ben!' with lots of worry in his voice. He comes over to me and asks me if I am okay. I tell him I will be okay. Then Micah and some other people come over to me and pick me up and carry me by my shoulders. For a while they are kind of like my legs. I try walking with them still holding me, but I bump into walls. My knees and legs wobble and shake, plus I am very pale. They help me up staircases and hallways into the nurse's office. Another student, Jacob, gets the door for me. Micah explains what has happened to the nurse. She says, 'Thank you Micah.' And then I thank him too for helping me up the stairs. That's why my hero is Micah.
