Your Everyday Hero: Erika R.

My hero is Erika. Erika first had cancer after giving birth to her son. It was a rare cancer caused by a hole in her placenta which leaked the fluid into her body. Six years later they found a tumor wrapped around the base of Erika's spinal cord. She has gone through radiation and is currently going through chemo.

Even though she is in pain and limited in the things she can do, she stays positive. You do not leave her side with tears, but instead you leave with laughter in your heart. She is truly my inspiration and I try to live the same way that she does—leaving everyone with a smile in their heart!!
